FAQs

WILL YOU WORK ON ANY FIREARM?

No- laws, parts availability, workload, and our specific setup affect what we can do. Please contact us to confirm what we can accommodate.

IS A PROFESSIONAL CLEANING DIFFERENT THAN WHAT I CAN DO?

Yes, a certified gunsmith will take down the firearm to its individual components and thoroughly clean, lubricate, and inspect all parts for wear. A gunsmith has the tools and experience to enhance performance and extend the life of your firearm by servicing parts you may not be able to access yourself.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

Each issue is unique, making it nearly impossible to price without a thorough, physical inspection. We will call you with an estimate after we disassemble and clean the firearm.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PERFORM A RESTORATION OR REPAIR?

This depends on the condition of the firearm and extent of the work needed. For an accurate estimate, please contact us to discuss, as each project is unique.

CAN SOMEONE ELSE PICK UP MY FIREARM FOR ME?

No, the same person that drops off the gun must pick it up. NO EXCEPTIONS! This eliminates a lot of ATF paperwork. Please see our What to Expect page for more details.

IS THERE A CHARGE FOR DIAGNOSING A MALFUNCTIONING FIREARM OR HAVING A GUNSMITH LOOK AT THE FIREARM?

Yes, there is a $60 diagnostic fee. It’s nonrefundable and due when you leave your gun with us. It takes time to clean and diagnose issues. Should we end up fixing the issue, the diagnostic fee is subtracted from your final bill.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Venmo payments (@Gunworxusa) or exact cash.
